Bicycles, either on-road or off-road types, are not permitted within the Elder Cedar Nature Reserve. Inspired by a snarl turned in to the Sounder this week, Christine Rikley, Communications and Fundraising Specialist for the Islands Trust Fund was contacted. The ‘snarler’ had mentioned running into a cyclist within the Elder Cedar Reserve, which is held in trust by the Islands Trust Fund and was concerned there may be Gabriolans or visitors to Gabriola who don’t know the Elder Cedar is off limits to cyclists. «more»
